Get More Money for Less Effort With Swagbucks
Swagbucks is not only an online survey platform, but there are also numerous ways you can make money. Essentially, on the site, you earn points known a Swagbucks for doing different things. These points can be converted to cash through PayPal or used to get gift cards to different stores. To give you an idea, 2500 points/Swagbucks is the equivalent of $25 whether you cash out with PayPal for $25usd or in AUD for a gift card. More on maximising your cash out further down.
Here are all the ways you can make more money with Swagbucks.

How To Make Money With Swagbucks
Swagbucks can both make and save you money allowing you to stretch your budget further. You can find a full list of all the online survey sites I recommend for Aussies here. To make money with Swagbucks, there are quite a few things you can do.
Get $10 for Signing up
A $10 bonus just for joining is pretty good, right? Join for free here and you can get $10 as a thank you for doing so. It only takes a few moments. Be sure to add the Swagbutton to your browser and follow the instructions. You’ll get notifications for when you can earn extra Swagbucks from doing different things. And provided you use it on a purchase within 90 days of signing up, you’ll get your $10 free!
It’s only worth 1 point so if you do it every day that is 365 points a year. Not a huge amount but it is an option every day to get something.
Use Swagbucks instead of Google when searching for things online and you can earn bonus Swagbucks. Typically, it will only be a few points but since you were going to search online anyway, it’s no extra effort.
Again, pretty low pay for the amount of time doing it but it is something that can be done any time. Get paid a few Swagbucks to watch videos in your spare time.
As you can see from the picture below, payments for surveys can vary a lot. Why spend 20 minutes to get 29 points when a 3 minute survey is worth 20 points? Check how long and how much you will get paid for every single survey before you do one.
Your Survey Profile
2 Swagbucks for every 10 questions means this won’t make you much money but can be done when you’re bored or watching TV. You will find this to the right on the survey page as shown above.
Click On The Daily Options
The daily poll as mentioned above, daily search, daily deal of the day and so on. Doing these things adds up and you can get bonus points for completing tasks each day. Personally, I have never achieved this.
In the left sidebar, scroll down and you will find the daily options to click on and complete.
Ever wanted to get paid to play games? You can with Swagbucks. It’s not huge money but it can be fun.
This is a game they run regularly where you join then do things to get a square marked off. There is a big square grid and inside each small square is a task such as click on a link or redeem your points. Different patterns on the grid when you mark off small squares will be worth different amounts and completing the whole grid is usually worth 100 Swagbucks.
Another reason to have the Swagbutton installed. Swagcodes are a little code they share at different times which if you copy it and add it to your account (using the Swagbutton is easy for this) then you get extra points.
Member Recognition Program
It takes one click to join and as you do different things you will move up the ranks unlocking more bonuses.
Refer And Earn
Pretty simple, when you use your unique code to refer friends you each get up to $5. We have a different deal with Swagbucks which is why we can offer you a $10 bonus for joining but once you’re a member, if you like it, share it with your friends. You’ll get your own code and can share it with others easily.
How to Save Money With Swagbucks
Simply put, there are 2 main ways you will save with Swagbucks – cash back and cashing out.
Shop and get cash back
If you install the Swagbutton, it will pop up on websites you can get cash back and it will tell you how much you can get. Numerous stores offer anywhere from 1% to 10% back on purchases but you will need to activate the Swagbutton when it pops up. Yes, pop-ups can be annoying but not if they save you money.
As mentioned, you can cash out through PayPal for actual cash or get gift cards. With how the Aussie dollar often compares to the US Dollar lately, cashing out in USD gets you the most money. Next is the gift cards which are on sale. Not all gift cards are created equal, some go on sale from 9% off through to 25% so it can be a big difference. I usually wait until I can cash out $100 at a time and check the exchange rate for USD to see the best option for me.
If you do decide to do gift cards, there are quite a few options from Big W to Coles, iTunes to David Jones, Dan Murphy’s, Amazon, Caltex, Rebel Sport and more.
There is one more option called Sweepstakes but I view it as gambling and don’t endorse gambling on here ever, so I haven’t tried it to talk about it. I’ve been given sweepstakes entries as part of Swago and other promotions with Swagbucks and never won anything.
Swagbucks won’t make you rich and it isn’t the highest paying platform but you can make money from it and what you do is your choice, so do as much or as little as you like.
