How to get 3 Months Free with Amazon Music Unlimited
In our home, we listen to podcasts and music more than we watch TV. My kids constantly walk around with headphones on (autism and ADHD so it helps them).
Listening to music also helps me focus on work, get motivated to workout, go to sleep, clean, and basically everything. Using specific playlists for each thing I need to do helps me get in the right mindset to achieve it faster.
Numerous studies have shown the benefits of music for mindset. One of the best ways to do it (in my view) is through a streaming service so it’s ad-free music.
Right now you can get 3 months free with Amazon Music Unlimted so you can try it and if you like it, they have affordable plans to continue with.
Why Use Amazon Music?
If sound quality matters to you, Amazon Music Unlimited will provide you with a superior experience. With HD music you hear music the way it was intended. Similar to old-school TV shows vs HD now, you will notice the difference.
With over 100 million songs available, podcasts and various features, there is something for everyone.
How I Use Amazon Music Unlimited
As I mentioned, music is used for everything. It’s a signal to me that it is time to work or time to sleep etc.
Here is what I do to ensure I make the most of using music to motivate me and achieve more.
1. Night Routine for my Kids
I have 4 children here, 2 teens, a toddler and baby. Our home can be loud, hectic and sleep time would be stressful if it weren’t for music.
Meditation music is put on as a signal to my kids it’s time to go to bed. We have a regular routine where we play at a park, come home, eat dinner, bath, teeth, read and meditation music goes on.
Within minutes, they’re asleep. Before I added meditation music it would be a battle some nights. Every night I do the music, they fall asleep faster and sleep longer.
I often use it at nap time to help them relax and go to sleep. As a result, I don’t feel sleep is a battle in our house.
2. Work Music
While it might seem like I achieve a lot and have a lot going on, I am easily distracted. The best thing I can do to focus, especially if I have a writing deadline, is to switch on my work playlist.
Being an 80’s baby, rock from that era and the early 90’s has been the best for work. There are a few specific songs I sometimes play on repeat. I’ve used these songs to the point where my teens know if they hear those songs, do not interrupt as I am writing and in the flow with my ideas.
I have no idea why these particular songs hit the spot for me to focus but once I discovered it about 7 years ago, it made a huge difference to how much I got done and my focus.

3. Workout Music
Music for working out comes in two varieties for me, the research-based beats that make you perform better/run faster etc. And the music which makes me visualise easily.
Music that makes me feel sexy, beautiful or that has a film clip featuring things I want/a lifestyle I like motivate me as I can visualise myself fit, strong and healthy.
So I have 2 workout playlists. One for beats that will make me perform better because I am already motivated to workout and the other for the times I need mental motivation to keep going.
4. Podcasts for Walks
I try to walk daily and my preference is to listen to podcasts, specifically business, finance or women-focused podcasts. Every now and then I want to switch off so will play music. Having Amazon Music makes it easy to alternate without needing numerous apps.
5. Cleaning
Playing loud music is definitely more motivating and makes cleaning much more enjoyable. My kids get in on it too. We play happy, upbeat, fast songs and scrub to the beat. Often we sing and dance as we go as well.
6. My Kids
The older two have sensory issues and music helps regulate, calm or motivate. They have their own playlists for different moods and tasks.
Knowing they can have headphones on, listen to their music and share music they like with me has helped them immensely. Being a teen is hard, sometimes all you want to do is come home and switch off with some music. Amazon Music makes that easy.
What do you get with Amazon Music?
You’re probably thinking there are numerous music services, what makes Amazon Music Unlimited a good choice?
You get access to over 100 million unlimited songs in HD as well as over 7 million songs in ultra HD.
Listen to ad-free music and podcasts, plus listen offline when you want. This makes it great for travelling.
Get unlimited skips. While I usually use my own playlists, even though I love those songs, I have to be in the mood for certain songs. Unlimited skips makes it easy to only listen to what I feel like at the time.
